My name is Julie McCluskie and I’m privileged to serve as the state representative for House District 13 and speaker for the Colorado House of Representatives. House District 13 includes Chaffee, Grand, Jackson, Lake, Park and Summit Counties – some of the most beautiful landscapes and warm, welcoming communities in all of Colorado.
I’m born and raised in Colorado. My husband and I have lived most of our married lives in the mountains spending the last two decades raising our children in Summit County. My husband owns a small business and I’ve worked most of my career here in public schools. We have been fortunate to live our own Colorado Dream!
But the last two years have been hard on my family, as it has been for a lot of Coloradans. Between the global pandemic and tough economic challenges, Colorado’s working people and families are struggling to get back on their feet.
There is good news! We’ve made solid progress on saving people money and getting our economy back on track as part of the Great Colorado Comeback.
We’ve delivered on our promises to save Coloradans money on health care, child care and housing, setting up students for lifelong success, taking action on the climate crisis, preserving our public lands, and protecting our most valuable natural resources.
I am deeply honored to continue my public service for the people of the Western Slope and rural Colorado. Now more than ever, we must protect our Colorado way of life and ensure all of us have a shot at our own Colorado Dream.
